Florida Realtors Endorse Rick Scott's 2024 Campaign

With the 2024 election season looming, US Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) will be forced to defend his seat for the first time since his election to the Senate in 2018.  The Senator has just secured the endorsement of the Florida Realtors.

The Florida Realtors is the biggest professional trade association in the state with more than 238,000 members. The group is a legislative force to be reckoned with, securing many legislative wins in the state.

In their endorsement of sen. Scott, Florida Realtors President Gia Arvin stated, "More people are calling Florida home every day because of the hard work then-Governor Rick Scott did to turn Florida’s economy around. Today, our state is an economic powerhouse because of the policies he fought for during his eight years in Tallahassee, and we appreciate all he now does in Washington to ensure prosperity in Florida."

Arvin continued, "Our organization and our members have a long history of working with Senator Scott, including securing the first reduction in the business rent tax in Florida while he was Governor.  We truly value the constant collaboration we have had with him and always appreciate his willingness to help us work to create an environment where more families and businesses can call Florida home. Florida Realtors proudly endorse Senator Scott for re-election.  We are thrilled to support him, and we are so grateful for his strong commitment to housing, private property rights, and the Realtor profession."

Sen. Scott thanked the Florida Realtors for their support and reflected on the work he has done as a Senator, and his time as governor in Florida, "I have had the opportunity to work alongside the Florida Realtors to fight for policies that will grow our economy. I can always count on this important organization to fight alongside me to champion critical policies like cutting taxes and reducing burdensome regulations so more people can own a home or business in Florida."

In November, Scott will face former US Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-FL) to keep his Senate seat. Scott recently called Mucarsel-Powell a "radical" for her affiliation with Rep. Maxwell Frost, who has supported efforts to defund law enforcement.
