DeSantis Calls for IIhan Omar to be Expelled, Denaturalized, and Deported

Share

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) posted on his "X" account and stated that Rep. IIhan Omar (D) should be expelled, "denaturalized," and deported.

The Governor reposted Omar’s speech, tweeting “Expel from Congress, denaturalize, and deport!”

Rep. Omar responded to Gov. DeSantis’ remarks by calling his 2024 presidential campaign a “failure.”

This feud comes after a video clip of Omar went viral. The congresswoman from Minnesota’s 5th district was seen addressing a crowd about the dispute between Somalia and Somaliland.

Omar, originally from Somalia, noted her allegiance to her home country.

“We are an organized society, brothers and sisters – people of the same blood. People who know they are Somalians first, Muslims second, who protect one another.”

The Democrat urged her supporters that, as long as she’s in Congress, the US will protect Somalia, saying:

“Many Somalians have personally called me to encourage me to speak to the US government and help Somalia.” Omar continued, “My answer to Somalians was, that the US government will only do what Somalians in the US tell them to do!”

The Minnesota Congresswoman stressed that she is focusing on the interest of Somalia.

“They (United States) must follow our orders and that is how we will safeguard the interest of Somalia,” said Omar.

According to the congresswoman, “We Somalians must have confidence in ourselves that we call for the shots in the U.S.”

Omar again urged her supporters that she is in Congress “to represent your (Somalian) interest.”

“For as long as I am in the U.S. Congress, Somalia will never be in danger, its waters (Indian Ocean) will not be stolen by Ethiopia or others,” spoke Omar.

In what many conservatives are calling a shocking profession, Omar pledged her allegiance to Somalia, saying:

“Sleep in comfort, knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the U.S. system.”

Omar continued by highlighting that she is “working day and night to protect your (Somalian) interest.”

The Minnesota congresswoman did not speak on American interests in her speech.

Many conservatives have joined DeSantis in condemning Omar’s comments, saying that she isn’t putting Americans first.

Social media personality Jesse Kelly tweeted:

“Ilhan Omar hates America. Her constituents hate America. She promised them she would loot America on their behalf if she were elected and she’s keeping her promise. I wish we had Republicans with that kind of clarity and resolve.”

The video clip of Omar has gone viral, resulting in #expellOmar to be trending on "X" throughout the United States.
