Cammack Calls Mayorkas 'Dangerous' as Impeachment Looms

House Republicans are moving to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas for his mishandling of the southern border crisis. Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) appeared on Fox News's Faulkner Focus to discuss the plan, describing how she told Secretary Mayorkas about the upcoming impeachment, whose response prompted her to call him "dangerous" and said "he knows exactly what he is doing."

Last week, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) traveled to Eagle Pass, Texas, to appeal for border security with over 60 other Republicans, including Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ). Afterward, Rep. Johnson appeared on CBS's Face the Nation, where he suggested Mayorkas is allowing the ongoing crisis to happen on purpose, similar to claims made by Representative Carlos Gimenez (R-FL).

Rep. Cammack called Mayorkas "a real peach," adding, "he has lied repeatedly to Congress [and] has been negligent in his duties."

Host Harris Faulkner asked if the Secretary's removal was possible, to which Rep. Cammack replied, "I have yet to meet one Republican- heck, I even know some Democrats that are anxious to get rid of him."

Additionally, when she and other members of Congress said they intended to impeach Mayorkas, Cammack described how "he said 'you are not going to like who comes next.' I asked him if that was a threat, and he smiled."

"This man is dangerous. He knows exactly what he is doing, and he is two-faced. We need to get rid of him. I hope now," Cammack continued.

Faulkner asked what Mayorkas meant by his answer and who this potential replacement might be.

"Well, that was the big question," Cammack answered, "I asked him, I said, 'Is that a threat?' and he just smiled. And I thought, 'This man knows exactly what he is doing. This is 100% by design. They want an open border crisis.'"

Mayorkas is not the only Biden associate in House Republicans' sights, as Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) recently confirmed First Son Hunter Biden will face contempt of Congress charges for his refusal to appear for a closed-door testimony in mid-December.
