Public opinion polls released this week indicate that President Donald Trump (R) continues to surge in comparison to President Joe Biden (D). President Trump has not yet clinched the Republican nomination. However, he is leading all other candidates by a wide margin, and the margin continues to grow compared to the incumbent president.

A new Wall Street Journal poll shows President Trump leading President Biden by 4 percentage points, 47% to 43%.

Criticism of the Biden administration shows that Democratic-leaning voters are unhappy with President Biden’s time in office. 23% of voters argue that President Biden’s policies have helped them, but 53% of voters say that the policies have hurt them instead. In contrast, half of the individuals polled said that President Trump’s policies helped them when he was president, but 37% said that, when he was president, his policies hurt them instead.

In turn, 37% of voters say that they approve of the work he’s done so far while 61% of voters say that they unfavorably see his overall image.

Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D), who’s received criticism from both Democrats and Republicans regarding her stance on the war between Israel and Hamas, took to social media to comment on similar polls showing President Biden trailing President Trump in Michigan.

According to a new CNN poll, President Trump is up by 10 percentage points over President Biden with 50% to 40% of support.

Commenting on the poll, Rep. Tlaib says that it “should not be shocking,” explaining that this dip in support for President Biden is because President Biden supports Israel.

“Biden and his Administration are actively supporting war crimes being committed by Netanyahu and the Israeli government,” she commented, adding that “we are literally handing over the weapons and bombs.”

“President Biden [would] rather lose his election than say no to Netanyahu’s genocide,” she concluded.
