Trump Likened to Mussolini and Hitler

President Donald Trump (R) has issued a message for Thanksgiving weekend, telling his supporters that he is grateful for them. However, President Trump stressed that the nation is in “decline,” warning that lawmakers are pushing the United States closer to World War III. Senator Claire McCaskill (D) recently likened President Trump to Hitler and Mussolini, warning that another Trump presidency would be “dangerous.”

Though President Trump thanked his supporters, which have launched his campaign to surging poll numbers against both his Republican challengers and President Joe Biden (D), the presidential hopeful did note that the country is facing severe challenges.

“We are a nation that is dying from crippling inflation, a wide-open border, radical, politically correct left-wing ideology that poisons everything it touches, and clueless and corrupt politicians who are pushing us to the brink of World War III,” the president wrote in a message to supporters.

His Republican challengers have echoed the same sentiment on the campaign trail, but Democrats, who’ve drawn sharp contrast with President Trump, counter by praising President Biden’s efforts in office.

During an interview with MSNBC, the former Senator turned MSNBC political analyst, warned of President Trump becoming the 47th president.

“A lot of people have tried to draw similarities between Mussolini and Hitler and the use of terminology like ‘vermin’ and the drive that those men had towards autocracy and dictatorship,” Senator McCaskill said.

“The difference… I think makes Donald Trump even more dangerous, and that is he has no philosophy he believes in,” McCaskill continued, criticizing that President Trump “is not trying to expand the boundaries of the United States of America. He is not trying to overcome a neighboring country like Putin is in Ukraine. He is not going for a grandiose scheme of international dominance.”

Instead, Senator McCaskill commented that “all he wants is to look in the mirror and see a guy who is president. All he cares about is selfish self-promotion. That’s the only philosophy he has, which makes him even more dangerous because he’s actually said out loud that it would be OK to terminate the Constitution to keep him in power.”
