Representative Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) appeared on CNN to discuss the prevalent anti-Semitism in the United States as Israel and Hamas (elected by Palestinians) have entered a bloody war.

From the streets of America’s bustling cities to the campuses of higher education (including Rep. Moskowitz’s alma mater, George Washington University), and even the avenues of Ft. Lauderdale, pro-Palestine and anti-Semitic demonstrations have taken the nation by storm.

Rep. Moskowitz provided his comments, calling it “concerning.”

“We have seen in this country, also on college campuses and in the streets, this goes from complaints about Israel to Jews. The Jewish community is constantly told you can be anti-Israel but not anti-Semitic, and I would surmise that you could. But what we’re seeing in the street is not. What we’re seeing in the street is calls to ‘gas the Jews, kill the Jews, cleanse the Jews, from the river to the sea, kill everyone in between.’ It is concerning,” said Moskowitz.

The Florida congressman continued, “My grandmother, who was a Holocaust survivor, as a child told me stories, you go to the museums, you think to yourself: there’s no way that this could happen again, how could people so blindly hate a religion and people that they don’t even know? And then you see this. And you realize that what happens is that when there’s so much propaganda out there and it’s fed to people by the algorithms all day long on social media. You can see why this is fomenting, and all around the world again, it’s really scary.”

Just recently, Moskowitz called out both sides of the aisle for having anti-Semitism within their ranks during a House Oversight Committee hearing.

“At GW (George Washington University) last night, my alma mater, ‘Glory to the martyrs,’ glory to the people that raped women. That killed babies in their cribs. ‘Glory to those people.’ Both parties are failing because you know what? Each of them have no problem calling out anti-Semitism when the other side does it. The Republicans will call out the ‘Squad,’ Democrats will call out Republican members when they say Jews and space lasers.”

The Israeli-Hamas conflict has entered its fourth week.
