Mills Calls Rainbow Bridge Explosion Latest in 'Laundry List of Failures' by Biden Admin

Share

Yesterday, a car exploded near Rainbow Bridge in Upstate New York near the Canadian border. No confirmation this was an attempted terror attack currently exists. If it was, this is the latest in a "laundry list of failures" by the Biden Administration, as Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) suggested on Fox Business's Kudlow.

Rep. Mills suggested the explosion could have been "some type of a potential probing attack" if evidence shows explosives were present, either detonating by accident or intentionally by the car's occupants or a secondary triggerman.

The latter, he said, is "commonly used in Iraq, Syria, and other places where if there is a compromised mission, if there is an early detection, there is a secondary remote detonation that can go off, but this could also be utilized as a diversionary on the northern border for what is going on in the south."

Regardless, Rep. Mills reiterated this incident only demonstrates the importance of securing the borders.

"This is a complete failure by the Biden Administration by Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas, whom I have cosponsored his impeachment articles. I do see that he should be impeached, but also [Secretary of Defense] Lloyd Austin for Afghanistan. I think there is a laundry list of failures that have continued to threaten American lives," Mills continued.

Substitute host David Asman reminded Mills that nine Republicans voted against Mayorkas' impeachment, asking if the nine voters would receive pressure to change their vote in a second impeachment.

Mills instead suggested, "We have to look at other leverage points," namely by cutting spending. Additionally, the Secure the Border Act (HR2) passed by the House in May can be made as a "policy rider to ensure that it gets through and force [Senators] Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in the Senate do their job and let Joe Biden threaten to veto it when it comes to his desk."

Still, Mills agreed that the Republican conference should unite in securing the border.

"We need to be utilizing the Homan Act and impeachments against those who have dereliction of duty, but our border is the top priority. We must secure our borders and keep Americans safe. That is what our job is," Mills concluded.
