"Biden fails. DeSantis leads."

That is the message of the DeSantis for President campaign's first ad blitz that will begins airing on TV across Iowa today.

The 30-second spot focuses on DeSantis's accomplishments in Florida, including the evacuation of hundreds of Americans from Israel after the conflict broke out. The ad also highlights the speed at which DeSantis had the Sanibel Bridge repaired in three days after Hurricane Idalia and the effort to help secure the southern border by sending over 1,000 Florida National Guard soldiers and law enforcement officers to Texas.

DeSantis’ surprise ad buy in Iowa comes on the heels of Trump Super PAC MAGA Inc and  move to drastically shift their strategy and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a new negative ad against DeSantis in Iowa despite announcing in August they were “pivoting to a general election posture toward paid media".

“America needs a fighter who will take on the establishment class in Washington – both Republicans and Democrats – to lead and deliver results while others fail,” said campaign manager James Uthmeier. “No leader in the country has a stronger record of securing victories for the conservative movement than Ron DeSantis. From sending planes to Israel to bring Americans home to safety, to rebuilding bridges in the days following a hurricane, there is no better leader in a time of crisis. Ron DeSantis will fight for the American people, win, and lead our great comeback.”

The ad comes just as former President Donald Trump launched a TV ad highlighting his foreign policy.
