Ahead of the Iowa Caucus, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is now grilling Ambassador Nikki Haley (R). Ambassador Haley has been embroiled in a rivalry with Vivek Ramaswamy (R), an entrepreneur who’s positioned himself as the “outsider” in the race. However, Governor DeSantis is now proposing that both he and Ambassador Haley debate, but she has yet to respond.
During an interview with Laura Ingraham on the Ingraham Angle, Governor DeSantis discussed a hypothetical debate with Ambassador Haley, commenting that “she probably wouldn’t like what the debate would be about” and warning that Ambassador Haley “has taken very, very Establishment-oriented positions.”
This week, marks the week wherein Governor DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) will debate. The debate, which is the culmination of a political rivalry that dates back to before the 2022 midterm election, is expected to show the political prowess of Governor Newsom, someone who’s speculated to enter the 2024 race.
Governor DeSantis, who will also attend the next Republican primary debate, says that he’s “game” for a debate with Ambassador Haley, citing her positions as being politically dangerous for the American people.
Governor DeSantis argued that Ambassador Haley has “proposed no limits on immigration.” He went on to explain that she believes “CEOs should determine our immigration policy. No, I think immigration policy should be what’s in the best interest of the American people and American workers.”
Governor DeSantis also mentioned that Haley “took the side of Disney against us protecting our kids.”
“Haley is fundamentally out of step with Republican voters. I think she’s relying on the liberal media to prop her up, but I’m game for the debate,” Governor DeSantis affirmed.
Governor DeSantis is scheduled to face Governor Newsom in a debate on November 30th. The debate will be moderated by FOX News’ Sean Hannity.
