DeSantis Challenges Trump to 'Summon the Balls' to Show Up To Debate

Share

Last night, Gov. Ron DeSantis spoke with Newsmax’s Eric Bolling  to challenge Trump to debate on the issues that matter to the American people instead of obsessing over footwear.

"I know people want to try to divert on to other issues. I know Donald Trump and a lot of his people have been focusing on things like footwear, I'll tell you this if Donald Trump can summon the balls to show up to the debate, I'll wear a boot on my head," said DeSantis.

Trump ducked the last two GOP primary debates and plans to skip the debate in Miami on Wednesday. He also refused to sign a GOP pledge to support the eventual nominee, but has faced no consequences from party leadership for doing so.

Last month, DeSantis challenged Trump to a one on one debate on Hannity. Trump has not responded.

Donald Trump, Jr and other Trump surrogates have obsessed over Ron DeSantis's choice to wear cowboy boots as one of their key grievances against the Presidential candidate.

"Look Eric, this is no time for foot fetishes. We've got serious problems as a country," said DeSantis. "We've got war in the Middle East, we've got terrorists coming across our own southern border, we have an American dream that's out of reach for millions of Americans because of the Bidenflation and the high energy prices. We've got schools that are indoctrinating kids and not educating kids, and we've got cities that are being overrun by crime."

After the interview, DeSantis's campaign team sent out a text and a link to buy a set of golf balls with DeSantis's logo on them reading, "Looks like Trump missed the memo. Don't worry; here's a visual of what a pair looks like. Ron DeSantis isn't hiding from the American people . He's going out and EARNING their vote. You can get your pair here."

The question still remains, does DeSantis wear lifts in his boots. This is a question DeSantis surrogates and his team refuse to address. Also, DeSantis surrogates have obsessed over Trump's physical appearance, especially his weight and how his clothing fits. Pot calling the kettle black?
