2024 Presidential Election

DeSantis, Haley Campaigns Say They Raised $1 Million After GOP Debate

Share

Governor Ron DeSantis's Presidential campaign has reported that in the twenty-four-hour post-debate period, it raised over $1 Million,  according to Press Secretary Bryan Griffin. Former Ambassador Nikki Haley has also announced that her campaign matched the DeSantis campaign with $1 million of their own.

"We need a president who can win back the White House and help win races up and down the ballot. We've raised more than $1 million post-debate—thank you to everyone who's donated to our movement," stated Haley.

Both Gov. DeSantis and Ambassador Haley, who are in a virtual tie for second place behind former President Donald Trump in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, stood out at the NBC News debate in Miami last week.

DeSantis appeared very comfortable and answered the question posed to him with substantive responses. Haley did as well and also showed that she was not afraid to take on her male competitors in the race. Haley even took a pound of flesh out of Vivek Ramaswamy when he invoked her 25-year-old daughter. Haley called him "scum."

"BREAKING: As reported, our campaign raised over $1 million in the 24 hours following @RonDeSantis' winning debate performance. We return to Iowa today with the wind at our back and @KimReynoldsIA in our corner. Fight. Win. Lead," posted Griffin linking to a story in Politico.

"NEW: Our campaign raised more than $1 million in the 24 hours after Wednesday night’s debate. This is yet another example of how our fundraising continues to accelerate this quarter, and is a sign of our growing momentum following the historic endorsement of Kim Reynolds and a debate victory this week," posted DeSantis War Room.

Official fundraising numbers will be reported at the end of the quarter. Campaigns have until January 15th of 2024 to file their campaign filing with the FEC.

The Iowa Caucuses are January 15.
