Washington, D.C.- As the Israel-Hamas war rages on and American lawmakers mostly rush to support Israel, divisions have seeped into the Democrat camp.
Earlier this month, Democrat Senator Jacky Rosen (NV) filed a resolution condemning Hamas’ brutal October 7th invasion into Israel and expressed support for Israel’s efforts to rescue hostages.
The resolution has garnered support from two dozen Republican and Democrat lawmakers.
Senator Rick Scott (R-Fl) cosponsored the bill yesterday, October 31st, and repudiated calls for an Israel-Hamas ceasefire.
Senator Scott cited Hamas official Ghazi Hamad reportedly stating Hamas would repeat their October 7th attacks as proof of Hamas’ intention to violate any ceasefire agreement.

The US officially rejected a Russian-backed UN resolution calling for a ceasefire last month.
Yet intraparty feuds have reportedly sprouted within the Democrat party as some ceasefire-supporting members have begun publicly criticizing unsupportive Democrat colleagues.
Last month, Representative Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) opposed his colleague Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) who displayed a Palestinian flag outside her office.
In response to Representative Tlaib’s demonstration, Representative Moskowitz (D-FL) raised the flag of Israel outside of his office.
Criticism has also been lobbed at Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT), who some progressive voters are blaming of flip-flopping on his previous pro-Palestine stance while now remaining silent.
However, Democrat pro-Palestine sentiment is nothing new, as Representative Rashida Talib (D-MN) last may held an event inside the Capitol decrying the creation of Israel.
