Rubio Says Hamas Must be Wiped Out, 'They Do Not Value Life'

Share

Israel's retaliation against Hamas after its attack Saturday nears a week. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) appeared on Fox News's Mornings with Maria to discuss the situation, namely how Hamas "cannot be allowed to continue as a viable entity" and Israel cannot negotiate with them because their desire to die in the name of destroying the Jewish State is genuine.

Host Maria Bartiromo first began by asking Sen. Rubio to summarize events. He wasted no time describing Hamas as "fanatical savages" with whom Israel "cannot coexist" and must be eliminated entirely, especially as they intentionally hide among the civilian populace of Gaza and allow them to die when Israel strikes, garnering international sympathy for their cause.

"And then what happens?" Sen. Rubio said, "Those guys [Hamas] survive, and they come back to kill more Jews in Israel. And that plays out over and over and over again. That is their playbook, and this time it has to be different. This terrorist organization cannot be allowed to continue as a viable entity."

Additionally, Rubio briefly mentioned former Special Envoy to Iran Robert Malley, which Bartiromo asked for more details on. She described how Malley "apparently facilitated the penetration of an Iranian spy ring into the highest national security levels of government," referencing accused Iranian spy Ariane Tabatabai.

Rubio answered that Malley has long been a sympathizer of Iran and Hamas, evidently out of a misguided belief they are rational actors and all their talk about martyrdom and destroying Israel is "propaganda and talking points."

"We are dealing with people whose value system tells them that life has no value, that it is okay to die, that it is a form of worship if you die in the name of jihad. In fact, they view it as heroic for their children to be killed as martyrs. They do not value life," Rubio continued, adding, "We Westerners have a problem: we do not believe these people when they say this stuff. We just think that it is propaganda and talking points. We do not believe they actually mean it."
