Kennedy Voices His Support for Israel at Miami Campaign Stop

Independent Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr made a strong statement in support of Israel at a campaign stop in Miami yesterday.

"Israel is our most important ally in the world," Kennedy told an audience of about a hundred people at the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. On Monday, Kennedy announced his departure from the Democratic party to run for President as an Independent.

Kennedy addressed the strategic reason the United States should support Israel against Hamas. Kennedy says is the stated objective of Hamas and Iran is to "eradicate Israel and to kill Jews".

"Iran and China are one organism at the point," said Kennedy. They now because of BRICS and because of Iran's control of Venezuela, control 90% of the oil supply in the world. If Israel was not there, China can blackmail the entire world with our energy supply, and that is the most disastrous foreign policy outcome."

Kennedy said this conflict is different than Ukraine and he does not think Israel will ever ask for the United States to send troops.

"We do not have a strategic interest for being in Ukraine," said Kennedy. "We have an absolutely critical, existential strategic interest to be in Israel. Israel has never asked for troops and they never will. What they want is our support and they need some of our weapons and we need to do that.

Kennedy recognized the brutality and savagery of the attack from Hamas on Saturday that left over 1,200 Israeli's dead said Israel has a legal right to their land.

"Israel has a legal right to be there. It is not an occupying force," said Kennedy before going into the history of Israel's creation in 1948.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr speaks in Miami

Kennedy's supporters included both Democrats, Republicans and people who are fed up with both parties.

Attendees Chris Schaffer and Kelly Gallagher said they want a candidate who will heal the divide in America.

"We are here to take a stand for Bobby Kennedy because he rocks and he is going to help bring America back together again and heal the divide,' said Gallagher who said she works directly with Kennedy. "Everything he is speaking towards makes my heart sing."

"I have been a Democrat for 40 years," said attendee Chris Schaffer. "I think they've lost focus and the focus should be on the American people and healing the American people. Healing the divide."

Kennedy's audience also included former supporters of Donald Trump who said the former President lost them when he spearheaded Operation Warp Speed, the plan to rush a vaccine for COVID-19 without going through regular trials for safety.

"Where he lost me was his pushing of Operation Warp Speed," said Dr. John Lewis of Miami. Lewis is past full-time associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and now remains as a voluntary associate professor in both Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Psychology. Lewis has been the principal investigator of multiple nutrition, dietary supplement, exercise training, and medical device studies in the last 2 decades, according to his biography.

"He has millions of Americans who have either been injured or died due to Operation Warp Speed and he refuses to take responsibility for any of his role in that and that is where Donald Trump lost me," said Lewis.

Lewis said he is a fan of Governor Ron DeSantis and it was a toss up between Kennedy and DeSantis. Lewis said he feels DeSantis is not getting the attention he deserves from the Republican party because of their devotion to Trump.

"I love Ron DeSantis," said Lewis. "I think he is amazing who has been by far the best Governor in the country over the last four years."

Kennedy will likely have a major impact on the Presidential race. When asked if he would consider being a running mate to either Trump or DeSantis, Kennedy replied, "I am in this to win."
