Des Moines, IA- Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has backed the state of Israel in their battle against Palestinian terrorist group Hamas and pledged “full support” were he to become president.

Early this morning, Hamas fighters launched over five thousand rockets into Israel and initiated a land invasion, taking dozens of Israeli civilians and soldiers hostage, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Floridian Editor Javier Manjarres has been on the campaign trail with Governor Ron DeSantis and captured his response to the Palestinian aggression this morning.

“Israelites not only have the right to defend themselves, but a duty, to respond to these terrorists with overwhelming force, and they’ll have my support, 100%, as the next president of the United States,” said DeSantis.

DeSantis criticized President Joe Biden’s indirect contributions to emboldening Hamas, as Hamas is reportedly funded by Iran, who, according to DeSantis, has been strengthened by President Biden’s foreign policy.

“Today, America stands with Israel against the terrorist attacks perpetrated by Hamas, who are backed by Iran and, unfortunately, funded by this American president by what he’s done to Iran,” explained DeSantis.

Biden’s Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III has underscored America’s “commitment to Israel's right to defend itself.” The Defense Secretary promised the US will aid Israel in ensuring it is properly equipped to defend itself and protect civilians.

The political class has ubiquitously condemned Hamas’ attacks, but conservatives are shifting blame onto Biden for his strategy with Iran, Hamas’ largest ally.

Florida Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott have directly pointed to Biden as responsible.

Senator Rubio claimed that  Biden’s “continued appeasement of Iran is encouraging these attacks.”

Meanwhile, Senator Scott stated that Biden "funded this attack when he bowed to Iran and gave $6 BILLION to this evil regime that starts every day plotting to destroy Israel.”

Developments in Israel are still unfolding, with Israel Defense Forces launching operation “Swords of Iron” to respond to Hamas’ attacks.

Meanwhile, according to WSJ, Hamas has suggested they will continue their attacks on Israel, with potential involvement of other regional parties incoming.
