DeSantis Says Biden Border Policies Leave America Vulnerable to Terrorist Attack

Share

Governor Ron DeSantis called on President Joe Biden to immediately reverse his border policies to prevent a possible terrorist attack similar to what was just seen in Israel.

"I would also ask the president to consider reversing his policies on the southern border," DeSantis told CNN's John Berman in an interview today. "We are vulnerable when you have all these military age men coming in. Do you think that our enemies have not been looking at that weakness?"

Yesterday, Attorney General Ashley Moody announced she is leading a coalition of 27 states taking action to force the Biden administration to secure the U.S. Border.

"The Biden administration’s intentional dismantling of border security has resulted in more than seven million inadmissible immigrants entering the U.S., including suspected terrorists," said Moody in a written statement. "During fiscal year 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection identified 151 known terrorists at the Southwest border—264 since Biden took office."

Recently release internal data provided & confirmed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection reveals thousands of “special interest aliens” from mostly Middle Eastern countries have been apprehended by Border Patrol while crossing into U.S. illegally over last 2 years, according to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, who has been covering the Southern Border. "A special interest alien is a term used by the U.S. government to refer to people coming from countries that have conditions that favor or harbor terrorism or pose a potential national security to the U.S," according to Melugin. Many of these apprehensions are people from Syria, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan.

"We know people from Iran have come we know people from Russia have come, we know China and other parts of the Middle East," said DeSantis. "That is not good for the security of this country. Israel probably has the strongest border security in the world and yet this happened to them."

"Biden's border crisis is a threat to every American," posted DeSantis in reply to Melugin. "When I am president, the dangerous and reckless open-border agenda is OVER on Day One."
