Jerusalem- Israeli authorities have urged all Palestinian civilians living in northern areas of Gaza to relocate to the South of the territory pending a potential military incursion.
The announcements were made early this morning as Israel seeks to eliminate Hamas following their unprecedented attacks on Israeli civilians and military late last week.
The Israeli Defense Forces requested Gaza civilians “evacuate south for your own safety and the safety of your families and distance yourself from Hamas terrorists who are using you as human shields.”
Meanwhile, Americans stranded in Israel are scrambling to evacuate. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, absent a national plan for American extraction, “is arranging chartered flights for Floridians needing safe transportation from Israel '' according to the Flroida Division of Emergency Management.
Shortly thereafter, President Joe Biden’s National Security Council spokesman John Kirby announced the US would also be chartering flights for Americans seeking to return home from Israel.
Governor DeSantis has strongly denounced Hamas’ attacks on Israel and advocated for repercussions for any party found to have supported Hamas. DeSantis has therefore proposed the US impose the strongest sanctions on Iran of any state.
Former Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal has reportedly called for anti-Israel protests across the Muslim world today and for neighboring countries to join the fight against Israel.
As such, local and national governments across the Western world are on high alert for any potential terrorist disturbances or actions responding to Meshaal’s call.
