A new indictment for Hunter Biden's tax and gun charges will supposedly come through at the end of the month. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) appeared on Fox and Friends to discuss the possible indictment, saying he would support an impeachment inquiry if it means gathering evidence against President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden's alleged influence-peddling, though not an impeachment trial.

Additionally, while Sen. Rubio stated Hunter should not be treated any differently for the gun charge, the focus should be on the tax evasion charge due to income received through his foreign business deals.

"I think the more serious problem here is how did Hunter Biden make all this money? Look, we cannot abandon common sense. If his last name was not Biden, there is no way in the world that he would have made millions of dollars that he has made and funneled through these shell companies that they created for the family," said Sen. Rubio.

Moreover, if the influence-peddling as described by House Republicans' investigations is indeed true, Rubio warned the Chinese could use this as leverage against President Biden.

"I do think those are the questions that we need to be trying to answer. If there is evidence, it needs to be brought forward. And if there isn't, then there isn't. It is a serious question and there are real anecdotal and preliminary indications that it is something worth looking into," Rubio continued.

Cohost Brian Kilmeade asked Rubio if he would support impeaching President Biden, to which he answered "no." Not necessarily because he thinks Biden is innocent, but for three reasons: The first is because impeachment proceedings would project dysfunction to China and encourage greater aggression. Second, an impeachment inquiry, instead of a full trial, would allow the House to collect evidence the White House will not hand over. Finally, Rubio said he would prefer the Democratic Party lose at the ballot box.

"So I am not rooting for an impeachment. I want Joe Biden to lose an election, or whoever the Democratic nominee is, because I do not think it is good for the country. And we have seen the trauma they have inflicted on this country because of their Trump obsession, and continue to inflict on the country because of that obsession," Rubio concluded.
