After President Joe Biden (D) introduced a plan to save his attempt to forgive massive amounts of student loan debt through an income-driven repayment system (IDR), Republicans have countered with a plan of their own.
The Congressional Review Act would stop any plan for an IDR system in its tracks, by "nullifying the [Biden] administration's IDR system in its tracks" as well as "stop the unilateral actions of President Biden that would cost everyday Americans hundreds of billions of dollars."
I am proud to co-sponsor the CRA resolution, that will challenge Biden's "SAVE" plan.

"I am proud to co-sponsor the CRA resolution, that will challenge Biden's "SAVE" plan," said Rep. Mills. "Biden’s so-called “SAVE” plan is an attempt to rescue the SCOTUS ruled unconstitutional tuition bailout and a completely misleading disaster that would put a staggering $559 billion burden on taxpayers, making history for the costliest regulation ever! The GOP offers a real solution with the FAIR Act, putting an end to the student loan mess by ensuring a smooth repayment transition."
Moreover, Rep. Mills appeared on Fox Business to discuss President Joe Biden’s (D) upcoming visit to India for the G20 Summit.
In his remarks, Mills mentioned that the President’s performance will “determine whether or not America can regain its status as a world leader.”
So far, the Florida congressman believes Biden has done a “terrible job on the world stage.”
Joe Biden’s performance at the G20 summit will determine whether or not America can regain its status as a world leader. A status lost under Biden’s failed leadership.

“Well, unfortunately, he’s done a terrible job on the world stage with – trying to contribute to building strong alliances, with trying to hold adversaries like China and Russia accountable. We’re seeing where both China and Russia have refused to come to the G20 Summit to look at developing nations where India is trying to take a much broader role on the world stage as a developer of developing nations as a supporter of kind of a conduit if you will, between the West and Russia,” stated Mills.
He would go on to mention that India plays a key role in the Russia-China alliance, especially with the Chinese receiving 70 percent of their oil from the Indian Ocean. Mills believes there is a “continual misunderstanding” of the foreign policy of the region.
“But at the same token, its mistakes and continual misunderstanding of foreign policy is what’s driving India towards BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa alliance). And so, India plays a very key role here, not only just from an industrial perspective and from a trade perspective, but also the Indian Ocean plays a key element for China if they were to invade Taiwan and 70-plus percent of their oil and their actual energy comes through that area,” said Mills.
In Mills' conclusion on Fox Business, he would assert that Biden’s performance could determine whether people will “start creeping more towards Russia and China.”
“So how Biden responds in India – how this G20 Summit meeting goes, could determine outcomes for [the] future when it comes to trade partners, alliances, developing nations, and whether or not people still see America as a world leader, or they start creeping more towards Russia and China since he’s taken office.”
Representative Mills serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
