After news broke that President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden had been indicted on three gun-related charges by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) said it was “about damn time.”
After Rep. Donalds mentioned this thought, MSNBC host Katy Tur asked the Florida congressman why former President Donald Trump (R) did not bring these charges when he was in office.
My take on the Hunter Biden charge is this: It’s about damn time & it shouldn't have taken so long.
At the end of the day this investigation:

“Well, first of all, I can’t speak to that, because the Attorney General at the time, Bill Barr and his team was looking at this. They sent this to David Weiss, who was the person looking into this. And by the way, the Department of Justice is in violation of their own regulations, because if you do bring in a Special Counsel, they’re supposed to come in from outside the government. That’s Department of Justice regulation. I digress,” stated Rep. Donalds.
He would go on to mention that this process for Hunter Biden has been “slow-walked.”
“This has been a slow-walked investigation. It has serious issues about what’s going on at Main Justice. And that’s why I say, about damn time, because the facts were crystal clear for years. But David Weiss and whoever’s working under him and his team are not pursuing this in the way that should have been resolved,” concluded Donalds.
This is not the first time that Donalds has criticized the DOJ for its irregularities.
In August, the representative who was once nominated for Speaker of the House stated that the DOJ is the entity that is “actually obstructing justice on behalf of the Biden crime family.”
All the evidence exposing DOJ obstruction in support of the Bidens has come from OUR investigation.

“What House Republicans are going to do – we’re going to finish our investigation. Because all the information that has come forward, that has frankly made the Department of Justice look like an outfit actually obstructing justice on behalf of the Biden family, has come from the House Oversight Committee, and the House Judiciary Committee, and [the] House Ways and Means [Committee]. That’s how the American people know about all this information,” said Rep. Donalds.
The Oversight Committee has stated that “If there was any overlap between Joe Biden’s official VP duties and his son’s activities in Ukraine, Americans deserve to know.”
