Matt Gaetz Compares Biden Witness Devon Archer to Nixon 'Deep Throat'

After the closed-door testimony of Hunter Biden's former business associate Devon Archer, Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) discussed the hearing with Sean Hannity, comparing Archer to Mark Felt, otherwise known as "Deep Throat," the man who revealed the Watergate scandal under former President Richard Nixon.

"Devon Archer may be more dangerous to the Biden presidency than Deep Throat was to Nixon. As Joe Biden’s defense gets more tortured, more people will be agreeing with @RepMTG and me that this is rising to the level of at least an impeachment inquiry," Rep. Gaetz tweeted.

Additionally, Rep. Gaetz stated Congressional Democrats' defense of the Bidens has become increasingly "tortured" after the hearing. Representative Dan Goldman (D-NY) recently said that Joe Biden was never directly involved in Hunter's twenty phone calls, only making small talk with various individuals.

"Imagine how tortured the defense of Joe Biden now has to be when Dan Goldman actually said, "You know what, if you see your son on the phone talking about his foreign business deals, and if you do not grab that phone and say hello to who he is on the phone with, you are being rude, you are being preposterous," said Gaetz.

Gaetz further expressed disbelief at how Democrats expect people to believe this interpretation, adding that this will only turn independents against Biden and support impeaching him.

"It is so crazy that now that is what they are having to ask people to believe, and I think that as it gets more and more tortured, more independents are going to agree with [Representative] Marjorie [Taylor Greene (R-GA)], with me, that this is now certainly rising to the level of at least an impeachment inquiry," Gaetz continued.

Finally, Gaetz concluded that Archer is "more dangerous" to Biden than Mark Felt's "Deep Throat" persona was to the Nixon Presidency since he can "piece together the underlying fact" of the Biden family's apparent influence-peddling scheme.

"It sounds as though Devon Archer may be more dangerous to the Biden Presidency than Deep Throat was to the Nixon Presidency because he is able to piece together the underlying fact here: There was no business the Bidens were in. They were in the business of selling out the American people to foreigners for money," Gaetz concluded.
