Wasserman Schultz Grills RFK Jr. Over his Alleged Use of Antisemitic Remarks

While the 2024 Republican Presidential field of candidates continues to grow, Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (D) has caught attention for being a more moderate alternative to Biden for Democrat voters.  The Democrat has been critical of traditionally Liberal stances on issues, such as COVID-19.  However, US Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL)  faced off with Kennedy over his comments comparing COVID lockdowns to the Holocaust in a meeting of the House Judiciary Committee.

Kennedy was invited by Republicans to testify pm the weaponization of the Federal Government.  Rep. Wasserman-Schultz quickly moved in to disqualify the witness over alleging that the presidential hopeful has made anti-semitic remarks in the past.

Wasserman Schultz paraphrased Kennedy in the hearing, asking if he really thinks it was, "easier for Jewish people to escape systematic slaughter by Nazis?" And, "Do you think it was just as easy to wear a mask as it was to hide under floorboards or false walls?"

Kennedy denied the congresswoman’s description of his statements that COVID-19 may have been “ethnically targeted,” affecting Jewish and Chinese people less than others. Wasserman Schultz attempted to stop him, but Kennedy grew frustrated, yelling, “You are slandering me incorrectly. What you’re saying is dishonest."

Kennedy has been in hot water recently after last week where at a party the candidate suggested that Chinese and Ashkenazi Jewish people were not prone to catching the disease, and described white and black people as, "targets."  The comments did not only single out certain ethnic groups but also enflame already existing conspiracy theories about the Chinese or Jewish Americans.

RFK Jr. has defended the comments claiming he was defending a study that was released, showing what he said as a scientific result and not the racist rant Democrat House members chalked it up to be.
