The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) has announced their voter registration advantage has propelled over 500,000. Since the 2016 election, Florida has progressively turned more red, and the trajectory all but looks to continue in the same direction. With 3 presidential candidates based out of Florida, all eyes are on the sunshine state ahead of the 2024 election.

In a statement, Christian Ziegler, the Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, welcomed the surge in support that the party is experiencing. “Month after month, Florida becomes a darker shade of red,” Ziegler said, noting that “despite what the left-wing lunatics want you to believe, the facts are that Floridians and those who have recently moved here are not buying the radical agenda being peddled by the Democrat party.”

“This is great news, but we must keep our foot on the gas until the Florida Democrat Party waves the white flag of surrender, which looks more and more inevitable with every new voter registration monthly update,” Ziegler concluded.

According to recent voter registration facts, there has been a “157,844 increase in Republican advantage since January 1, 2023” compared to the “206,697 decrease in Democrat registration since January 1, 2023.” As well, “24 counties have flipped from Democrat to Republican since January 2016,” and “14 counties have flipped from Democrat to Republican since January 2018.”

In the 2022 midterm election, the state overwhelmingly supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) in his reelection bid. However, Republicans appear to favor his political rival, President Donald Trump (R), in the GOP primary. One of the latest presidential candidates is Miami Mayor Francis Suarez (R), who entered the fray a month ago, but his campaign faced heavy criticism from Florida Republicans.

As of June 30th, 2023, Republicans now have a 541,798 voter registration advantage over Democrats in Florida.

Florida Democrat Party Chair Nikki Fried (D) has voiced her concern over the surge in Republican support, and she maintains that Democrats will be shifting their strategy to attract more support.
