DeSantis Announces List of Invalid, Pro-Illegal Immigration Out-of- State Driver's Licenses

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to say ‘NO MAS! NO MAS!’ to illegal immigration, announcing a list of outlawed, or invalid Out-of-State Driver Licenses that several states have issued to illegal aliens.

According to a recent press release sent out by the Executive Office of the Governor, as of July 1, 2023, driver’s licenses issued from Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Rhode Island, and Vermont, were banned because they did not live up to his new  "Gold Standard" immigration reform agenda.

The list of states, which is published on the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) website, are all considered “Blue States,” with three‑Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut— being labeled as sanctuary states.

“Someone who is in our country illegally and has violated our laws should not possess a government-issued ID which allows them access to state-funded services and other privileges afforded to lawful residents,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “The Biden administration may continue to abdicate its responsibilities to secure our border, but Florida will stand for the rule of law. Even if the federal government refuses, Florida will act decisively to protect our citizens, our state, and our country.”

Gov. DeSantis’s crackdown or effort to mitigate in the influx of illegal immigration in Florida culminated with the signing of arguably the toughest immigration measure during the 2023 legislative session in Tallahassee—Senate Bill (SB) 1718.

The bill was introduced by State Senator Blaise Ingoglia (R), who at the time said that anyone that did not support his legislative measure was “pro-illegal immigration and pro-open borders.

"Anyone who comes out against this bill is pro-illegal immigration and pro-open borders. What this bill does, it's a comprehensive state-lead anti-Immigration bill that, quite frankly should be the gold standard for other states,” said Sen. Ingoglia.

Ingoglia appears to hold hope that his immigration bill could force the federal government “into fixing the problem that they're creating and festering .”

“We are a border state,” added Ingoglia before placing the border crisis blame on President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Here is what DeSantis’s law call for:

Prohibiting counties and municipalities, respectively, from providing funds to any person, entity, or organization to issue identification documents to an individual who does not provide proof of lawful presence in the United States

—Specifying that certain driver licenses and permits issued by other states exclusively to unauthorized immigrants are not valid in this state.

—Requiring certain hospitals to collect patient immigration status data information on admission or registration forms.

—Increasing the maximum fine that may be imposed for a first violation of specified provisions relating to employing, hiring, recruiting, or referring aliens for private or public employment, etc.
