Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) appeared on Fox News to discuss the recent gripes from California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) due to the transport of migrants from Florida to the Golden State.
Rep. Donalds believes that Gov. Newsom’s policies are causing the problem at the border, not Governor Ron DeSantis.'
“Listen, California has always been advertising that they’re a sanctuary state. But now they got problems. Now New York City’s got problems. They’re complaining now that they have to deal with the issues created by their crazy policy,” stated Rep. Donalds. “But I don’t hear a Gavin Newsom or their sheriff in Texas talking about the fact that Joe Biden allows young girls to be raped in journey to our southern border because of his reckless policy.”
Donalds had some stern words for Newsom, telling him to “kick rocks” and alter his ideology concerning the immigration crisis.
Newsom won't mention how Biden's reckless border policy causes girls to be raped & truckloads of people to die from heat exhaustion while being trafficked.
All he complains about is that the problem he helped to create is now on his doorstep.

“I don’t see them talking about the truckloads of people who have died from heat exhaustion, etc. When they’re being trafficked in the United States, mind you, they don’t complain about that.” The Florida Congressman continued, “But they complain about how the problem they created has been dumped on their doorstep. My advice to Gavin Newsom: Go kick rocks and change your policy because it sucks for everybody. Don’t be mad that you have to deal with it.”
At the beginning of June, Donalds voted against the debt ceiling agreement. It eventually passed.
In a press conference, Rep. Donalds urged his fellow Republicans to vote against the current agreement, especially as it does little to curb the Biden Administration's spending or policies.
"This bill actually keeps the Biden baseline intact for the federal agencies. The Republicans in Congress have been saying for months that we need to get back to pre-Covid spending levels. This bill canonizes post-Covid spending levels brought to us by Joe Biden and the Democrats. This bill keeps all of Joe Biden's policies, all of Joe Biden's spending intact," said Donalds.
Other Florida Representatives such as Vern Buchanan (R), Kat Cammack (R), Matt Gaetz (R), Anna Paulina Luna (R), Cory Mills (R), Bill Posey (R), Greg Steube (R), Mike Waltz (R), Frederica Wilson (D) voted against the measure as well.
