Diaz-Balart Speculates China Compromised Biden Administration

Share

Earlier this week, Representative Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) called the Biden Administration "asleep at the wheel" in confronting China. In a recent appearance on Fox News's Mornings with Maria, Representative Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) took the criticism further, speculating the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had compromised President Biden.

Host Maria Bartiromo described the influx of Chinese nationals into the United States through the southern border and the recent talks of a Chinese spy base in Cuba.

Rep. Diaz-Balart called the lack of response from the Biden Administration "insane" and that it seemed as though our allies and our adversaries switched places.

"It's insane that we're not paying attention. It is insane to treat adversaries as if they were not and to frankly treat allies as if they were adversaries. That's the confusion that exists in this administration," said Rep. Diaz-Balart.

Additionally, Bartiromo asked Diaz-Balart if he believed China had compromised the Biden Administration. Her question was based on recent evidence of exchanges between Hunter Biden and several Chinese businessmen tied to the CCP, appearing to use his father Joe's then-position as Vice President as leverage for favorable business deals.

Diaz-Balart replied they could "spend a month speaking about how this administration seems to be doing things that only benefit Communist China."

He pointed to several decisions by the administration in specific policy areas as evidence, such as kneecapping domestic energy production and the ongoing southern border crisis, inquiring if Biden is being blackmailed or has accepted bribes.

"Could it be that [Biden] is compromised? Could it be that they have him bribed, or they have him blackmailed? At least, then, we would understand why he is making these policy decisions that he is making. Everything he is doing seems to be designed to help China, and it's hurting our national security interests. And it's not only what he's doing not securing the southern border, it's energy, it's everything. And so he is inconsistent in a lot of things, but he is pretty consistently helping Chinese interests," said Diaz-Balart.
