Cammack Provides Update on Weaponization's Hunter Biden Probe

Share

Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) recently discussed the Weaponization of the Federal Government subcommittee's investigation into the intelligence community suppressing information on Hunter Biden's laptop on Fox News's The Story with Martha MacCallum. After the Wednesday hearing, Rep. Cammack rejoined MacCallum to discuss further.

"Let’s make one thing clear—after @Weaponization finishes its investigation of the extensive weaponization related to the Biden family, there will be accountability," said Rep. Cammack.

Cammack told host Martha MacCallum while the Weaponization Subcommittee is in "the fact-finding phase," she expressed optimism of "painting an irrefutable picture" of how government agencies sought to "weaponize their agencies against the American people and certainly for political gain."

"Of course, we're in the fact-finding phase and these depositions can be lengthy, and there's a ton of discoveries to sift through. But what we're really getting at is painting an irrefutable picture that the intelligence community along with the law enforcement agencies, the [Department of Justice] and others at the highest levels have been working to weaponize their agencies against the American people and certainly for political gain," said Cammack.

She described the letter circulating through the intelligence and law enforcement agencies to declare the Hunter Biden laptop story "Russian disinformation" by request of President Biden. Moreover, former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken collaborated to gain signatures on the letter through the Pre-Publication Classification Review Board.

"If that's not weaponization of our federal government, I don't know what is," remarked Cammack.

MacCallum noted an FD-1023 letter subpoenaed by Congress, which suggested President Biden took part in bribery, was not handed over by the FBI, with Director Christopher Wray citing protection of informants as a reason not to do so.

Cammack responded the FD-1023 "does exist, and from what I have heard and what I have seen, is that it is credible." Additionally, she called the reason for not turning over the document "ridiculous" and said, "The hypocrisy knows no ends with this administration."

"So that 1023 form that Director Wray and Senator [Chuck] Grassley (R-IA) were talking about, it does exist, and from what I have heard and what I have seen, is that it is credible. They say that they're trying to protect their informants, to protect them from political meddling. This is ridiculous, the hypocrisy knows no end with this administration. We know for a fact that this all stems back to them projecting what they are accusing us of. This is actually a problem, we have a constitutional duty for oversight. We will get to the bottom of it, and I'm telling you it is going to end with people going to jail," Cammack concluded.
