The Weaponization of the Federal Government Subcommittee's chair Representative James Comer (R-IA) may charge President Biden's son Hunter this week for his alleged influence peddling, planning to demonstrate proof this Wednesday. Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) appeared on Fox News's The Story with Martha MacCallum to discuss.
"The mass-censoring of the Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020 has led many to wonder what else the Biden family is hiding. Americans want answers. And @Weaponization is going to get them," Rep. Cammack tweeted.
Host Martha MacCallum asked what questions Rep. Cammack had for former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper regarding the Hunter Biden coverup.
Cammack said she and the Weaponization Subcommittee "are keeping expectations low" because of the precedent set by the January 6th Committee. By this, she stated the Weaponization Subcommittee is seeking the facts before coming to a conclusion, echoing a similar statement by Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) in November.
"Well we're keeping expectations low, first and foremost, because I think we need to do the opposite of what we saw during the last several years under the J6 Committee, under Democrat control, where they had a political agenda in mind and they chased at the expense of the truth," said Cammack.
She offered the proceeds to impeach former President Donald Trump and the "vilification" of members of Congress "who were simply fighting for truth" as examples, and thus serve as "a direct contrast" to the Weaponization Subcommittee's investigation.
"We saw that with everything that they were trying to do in the impeachment of President Trump and the vilification of good members of Congress who were simply fighting for truth. They prioritize and value the political ends and they don't care who gets hurt or how far they have to go to push the envelope. So I think this is a direct contrast to what we're doing where we're gathering the facts. We're doing the investigation, making it so ironclad that Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike, they cannot deny that this Administration is corrupt. They cannot deny that that letter was 100% politically motivated," Cammack continued.
Moreover, Cammack added that if the New York Times verified the Hunter Biden laptop story was real, it must be "extraordinarily damning."
