Team DeSantis Vows he's 'Breaking the Cycle'

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) remains a political figure that is closely watched, and because of the criticism directed against him, the legislation he's signed into law, or the speculation that he'll be mounting a 2024 presidential run, there's no denying that political pundits are keeping a close eye on the GOP stalwart.

With DeSantis' head-on confrontation with the education system, Team DeSantis is praising the Governor for "breaking the cycle."

Earlier this month, the Florida Governor, according to a message from Team DeSantis, "flipped the New College of Florida board of directors from woke indoctrinators to leaders of the fight against critical race theory, DEI, and radical gender theory in education - hoping that the New College of Florida will become Florida's classical college." This caused California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) to visit the college to discuss the threat that DeSantis poses to education and democracy as a whole.

However, Team DeSantis has since praised the Governor for his action, arguing that the Governor will continue to fight for education as an effort of "breaking the cycle."

In a message directed to supporters, Team DeSantis assured that "Governor DeSantis' fight to keep Florida free continues — and no arena offers as stark an example of that fight as the battle that is happening over the hearts and minds of our students in higher education."

In Florida, Governor DeSantis is working tirelessly to end woke activism in our college classrooms and restore the tenants of a classical college education that made our system the envy of the world. And we cannot relent, because woke education is destroying America," the Team continued, expressing that "the days of universities teaching students the tools necessary to be good citizens of our republic are gone. We are no longer helping young minds to form their individual moral intuitions, to think critically, to understand their rights and responsibilities as American citizens."

Governor DeSantis' arguments regarding education have generated criticism, but the Governor is committed to continuing his efforts.
