Team DeSantis Sends ‘Message for Blue States’

Share

Things seem to be coming to a head as the DeSantis team appears to be responding to comments from California Governor Gavin Newsom (D), again. In a “message for Blue States,” Team DeSantis calls on voters to send blue state Governors a postcard, telling them why they moved to Florida.

Since President Joe Biden (D) recently signaled the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the DeSantis team, who has been critical of the president’s handling of the pandemic, commented on what this means for Americans.

“After 1,120 drawn-out days, the Biden Administration has declared that COVID-19 is over,” the team said in a message sent to supporters. “For over three years, the woke mob pushed mask mandates, shut their schools down, and tried to lock residents up,” the message reads.

DeSantis pointed out in his speeches that people have moved from blue states like California and New York to red states like Texas and Florida. This, the team highlights in the message.

“Over the past few years (and with no end in sight) droves of people are voting with their feet and becoming new Florida residents… leaving the draconian nightmare of the blue states behind,” the team informs.

Trump Scores Steube Endorsement Over DeSantis

In recent weeks, Newsom has taken to red states to discuss how Republicans are a threat to democracy. Specifically, he has directed choice words to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), arguing that DeSantis has exhibited “weakness masquerading as strength” in the eyes of the people. Moreover, although DeSantis has not announced his intention to run for the White House in 2024, Newsom has suggested that DeSantis not run because President Donald Trump (R) will defeat him in the primary.

While DeSantis has not directly addressed Newsom’s recent comments, team DeSantis is calling on supporters to send Newsom a postcard, mentioning why they’ve chosen to leave states like California.

“What better way to let a liberal governor who tried to close businesses or keep kids from an education know that while their residents may be gone, their policies won’t be forgotten with a friendly postcard,” the team addressed.

Both Newsom and DeSantis are speculated to be launching presidential runs.
