Rubio Says Biden Admin Withholding Information

Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) took to social media to share an excerpt from an interview wherein he accuses the Biden administration of withholding information. This coincides with Senator Rubio joining forces with Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R) to introduce a bill that demands answers from the CDC on coronavirus policy.

In his comments, Senator Rubio doubled down, accusing the Biden administration of "deliberately withholding information."

Rubio said that the Biden administration has proven to be "adept at strategic leaks." "There is leaked information in the press all the time when it serves a purpose or some narrative they're trying to further," Rubio adding, warning that "this is going to come to a head one way or another. It has to come to a head."

In light of President Donald Trump's (R) legal woes, Republicans have also pursued pressing charges against the Biden administration over Hunter Biden's alleged business dealings. Trump is currently awaiting trial, and GOP lawmakers have accused Biden and Democrats of weaponizing agencies for political revenge.

In the interview, Rubio further expresses that "when this country did not have congressional oversight over the intelligence agencies of this country, they did terrible things. That's why this committee was set up in the 1970s."

"We're not going back to a time where agencies operate without oversight and treat us on a need to know basis. If they do then we're going to have fights over their authorization, over laws they want passed, and over money they want funded," Rubio warned.

Rubio has been a vocal critic of the Biden administration, chiding it over its responses to issues such as the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the COVID-19 pandemic. In the bill introduced with Rep. Crenshaw, called the Restore Public Health Institution Trust Act," it calls on the CDC to answer regarding its policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this month, President Joe Biden (D) signed a bill that ended the COVID-19 national emergency.
