Never Back Down Releases Pro-DeSantis Mailer in Four States

The political action committee (PAC) Never Back Down has released a mailer promoting Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for President.

Set to be mailed out in South Carolina, Nevada, Iowa, and New Hampshire, the five-page pamphlet tells of Gov. DeSantis' background and accomplishments in Florida.

The Daily Caller received a comment from Never Back Down's Communications Director Erin Perrine, who called Gov. DeSantis "one of the most popular Republicans in the country."

"Ron DeSantis is one of the most popular Republicans in the country, yet most Americans don’t know much about his personal story of hard work, blue-collar success, and military service. Never Back Down is telling the governor’s story because our movement believes Governor DeSantis is the future and when voters learn more about his values as a family man, conservative fighter, and undefeated leader, they are even more excited to join the movement," Perrine told the Daily Caller.

In addition to detailing the life of DeSantis, the mailer brings attention to several of the most successful policies pushed forward by him, including the takeover of the Reedy Creek Improvement District from Disney, his resistance to lockdown, mask, and vaccine mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Parental Rights in Education bill.

More highlights include handling Hurricane Ian, DeSantis' efforts in containing the southern border crisis and prohibiting teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT) in Florida schools.

This marks the third major action of Never Back Down in promoting DeSantis after releasing a pair of attack ads targeting former President Donald Trump. The first accused Trump of being a "gun-grabber" for considering gun control measures with Democrats during his time in office. The second criticized him for going after DeSantis while still tied up with his own indictment by New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

While DeSantis has not yet formally announced his candidacy, it is clear his campaign is already underway.

It is important to note that several former 2020 Donald Trump for President operatives, including Perrine, are now supporting DeSantis.
