WASHINGTON— Florida Rep. Brian Mast has given Governor Ron DeSantis’s immigrant relocation flights his seal of approval, saying that the Governor made a “great statement” in flighting illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
“I thought it was a great statement that Gov DeSantis made when he flew the immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard,” said Rep. Mas, adding that he believes it showed that the border crisis is “a problem for everybody.”
Rep. Mast added that illegal immigrants crossing into the U.S. are “bringing with them crime.”
“No matter who you are, if you come into America the wrong way, it’s not your right to be here you are a criminal,” added Mast.
Florida Democrats, including State Senator Jason Pizzo, have been very critical of the governor over his aggressive immigration position. Sen. Pizzo sued DeSantis for using state taxpayer dollars to fund the two flights to Martha's Vineyard.
