Moody: Biden is 'Biggest Benefactor' to Mexican Drug Cartels

Share

As the border crisis continues, so too will the fentanyl crisis killing thousands of Americans. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody excoriated the Biden Administration in a recent appearance on Fox Business, saying that "there has been no bigger benefactor to Mexican drug cartels than @JoeBiden and his soft-on-crime, open-border policies."

"On @FoxBusiness discussing the border crisis. There has been no bigger benefactor to Mexican drug cartels than @JoeBiden and his soft-on-crime, open-border policies. We need less talking and more DOING. It is well past time to ACT," Moody tweets.

In the footage, AG Moody begins saying she and her legal team have been on the issue since "month one of the Biden Administration" and "were the first to sue" after instances of illegal migrants were released into the US and engaged in crime.

"We started shining a light on the breakdown of security at our border month one of the Biden Administration. In fact, we were the first to sue when they started releasing people that were here illegally back into our communities that were committing crimes. We were also the first to go to trial on the Biden Administration refusing to follow the law and just catching and releasing, allowing millions to pour into this country," says AG Moody.

"And what has that done?" she asks. AG Moody says this has created a "surge" of crime, especially fentanyl trafficking, which is overwhelming Florida law enforcement.

"That has unleashed a surge of crime, of trafficking, of deadly fentanyl. And you are right, Dagen [McDowell], it is not me, it is the law enforcement officers I work with throughout this state that are left to fight back and to push back against this overwhelming surge of fentanyl and other crime into our state."

Moreover, Moody says the idea that drug trafficking and violence are not intrinsically tied "is a farce."

Horrifically, she also points out that fentanyl is becoming the fastest-growing cause of death for children aged 5 to 14.

"In fact, just last week, I stood with a sheriff and announced a takedown of a gang that was selling poison in our community. Fentanyl, drug violence; you know, the idea that violence is in no way associated with drug trafficking and drug sales and fentanyl is a farce, it's a narrative that needs to be stomped out, and obviously as Attorney General, we'll keep fighting here in Florida. As you know, the fastest growing demographic of those dying of overdose; we already know 18 to 45 is the number one killer, overdose deaths; the fastest-growing demographic? Ages 5 to 14," Moody describes.

Finally, Moody cites her previous experience as a Federal prosecutor as giving her knowledge of how heinous the cartels controlling the drug trade really are, and powerfully slams Biden, saying they have "no bigger benefactor" than him.

"Look, I was a Federal prosecutor, I went after these cartels. I can tell you stories of torture while people were still alive. It's unbelievable, the pain and trauma these folks inflict in our communities. And I'm telling you what, there has been no bigger benefactor to the cartels than Biden and his policies."
