Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) slammed the media this weekend during an interview with FOX News. Rep.Donalds, who attended the Palm Beach Republican Party's Lincoln Day dinner at Mar-A-Lago on Friday, argued that there’s a double standard at play, citing President Donald Trump’s (R) time in office. Pushing back against “media hostility” towards conservatives, Donalds called on the media to “report the FACTS.”
During an interview with Fox News' Kayleigh McEnany, the former White House Press Secretary under President Donald Trump, both Rep. Biden and McEnany discussed the media's investigation or lack thereof of issues concerning President Joe Biden (D).
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R) revealed that a Biden family member had received cash from China after they investigated subpoenaed bank records.
Sharing the interview on social media, Donalds expressed that "when Trump was in the White House, and Kayleigh stood at the lectern, the media hostilely asked questions driven by liberal nonsense narratives. Fast forward to today when you have a media in the tank with Biden, and his Press Secretary gets the kid gloves treatment."

Republicans have long argued that there's a double standard in the way conservative lawmakers are treated as opposed to liberal lawmakers, and Donalds now says that mounting evidence against President Biden is not only a cause of concern but also a chance for the media to do their job.
"A lot of Big Media is in the tank for Joe Biden. They're in the tank for the Democrats. The American people know this. This is why the ratings for most Big Media is in the toilet when you poll the American people about how they feel about major media in this country," argued Donalds.
"It is time for the news media to do their job," urged Donalds, calling on major media sources to let people know what's true and what's not and to not cover for the Biden administration or go after a former administration.
A message for Big Media:
Report the FACTS. It's just that simple. pic.twitter.com/uWjLo23kHt
