Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appears to have defended House Speaker Paul Renner and Senate President Kathleen Passidomo over their failure to present him with an open carry gun measure to sign.
During a press conference in Miami where he signed a historic 'Education Reform' bill into law, Gov. DeSantis was asked by Publisher Javier Manjarres about open carry gun legislation failing to make in on the Constitutional Carry bill.
"How do you feel about open carry not being presented to you," asked Manjarres
"I'm for everything, I've said that from the beginning. If they send me something that is 90% or 80%, I'm gonna take that win and we can come back for more," responded Gov. DeSantis
“There are a lot of things I don’t get as speaker that I want, and I’m very, very happy that this bill moves us forward, expands rights in a way that are material and important,” Speaker Renner said.
Speaker Renner and President Passidomo have recently expressed their position against open carry legislation
