DeSantis Deports 11,000 Illegal Immigrants During 'Biden Border Crisis'

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced that he has assisted in deporting nearly 11,000 illegal immigrants that tried to enter the state by breaking U.S. immigration laws.

According to the Executive Office of the Governor (EOG), some 200 immigrants were kept from entering the U.S. in Florida.

“As Biden’s Border Crisis continues unabated, my administration is working hard to protect our communities and businesses from the many threats posed by illegal immigration,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Because of our action, we have seen a drop in the number of vessels and people able to make landing in the Florida Keys, and our continued presence serves as a deterrent for illegal immigration. By extending the State of Emergency, we will continue to surge resources to assist interdiction and repatriation efforts.”

“FDEM is committed to continue working with our state and local partners to increase coastal vigilance and provide improved situational awareness on migrant activities,” said FDEM Director Kevin Guthrie. “There are many risks associated with surges in migration, and the Division stands ready to respond to any potential threat our state faces.”

Earlier this year, Gov. DeSantis signed an executive order declaring a State of Emergency after law enforcement officials reported a “surge” of migrants trying to step foot in Florida.

Gov. DeSantis has worked with Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM) Kevin Guthrie to mitigate the influx of illegal immigrants, and recently signed a legislative measure that created creating the newly-implemented Unauthorized Alien Transport Program.

DeSantis has called on all law enforcement and military agencies at his disposal to help secure Florida’s sovereignty against the waves of illegal immigrants that are hitting Florida’s shores.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) , the Florida National Guard, and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), have all volunteered resources to combat what DeSantis calls the “Biden Border Crisis.”
