As the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment continues to bring bad news, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) is blasting the Biden Administration for its apparent apathy towards the problem.
Rep. Waltz calls the Administration out in a recent appearance on Fox's The Next Revolution, saying it is "a failure of leadership, and it's a failure of policy."

Elaborating further, Rep. Waltz says in his previous experience as a soldier and business owner that "when you have a crisis, you are on the ground; on the scene; with your employees, with your troops."
Moreover, it is the responsibility of leaders to "share the risks with them [their subordinates]."
Rep. Waltz is demanding Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, President Biden, and others "breathing the same air, drinking the same water, staying in the hotels, and visiting people's homes."
"And if you're going to convince them that it's safe for them, then go ahead and share on that risk and ingest it all yourself," Waltz concludes.
While the New York Post reports a FEMA team has been dispatched to East Palestine, this may be a case of "too little, too late," as the derailment occurred February 3rd.
Additionally, FEMA support seemingly comes only after former President Donald Trump announced he would visit the town to lend aid.
"As soon as I announced that I’m going, he announced a team will go. Hopefully he will also be there. This is good news because we got them to ‘move.’ The people of East Palestine need help," Trump is quoted as saying.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) recently wrote a letter to President Biden demanding Secretary Buttigieg resign or be removed from his post, saying Buttigieg has displayed "a gross level of incompetence and apathy that is detrimental to the safety and prosperity of the American people."
