FIU Ranks Among Top 10 Colleges in America

Share

University education has become a hotly contested political issue over the years in regard to high costs for students.  Florida looks to be ahead of the game nationwide with multiple schools nationally recognized, but surprisingly Florida International University (FIU)  is ranked as one the Top 10 schools in the country.

According to degreechoices.com, FIU placed in the top 10 universities in the nation, even beating out Ivy League schools.  The ranking was based on the most economically advantageous institutions for affordability as well as the quality and quantity of education provided by the university.

FIU ranked #8 just one place behind Yale, earning an economic score of 0.76, just 0.05 above Yale.  The school has an acceptance rate of 64% and a graduation rate of 70%.  Trailing FIU at #10 was the University of Pennsylvania, one of the most prestigious schools in the world.

Florida as a whole is thriving in the realm of university education.  The University of Florida placed fourth and Florida State University placed twenty-ninth, putting three Florida institutions in the top 30 most economically advantageous colleges to attend.

Gov. DeSantis (R-FL) has made it a point to wage the culture war on university campuses in Florida, with policies geared towards combating woke culture.  Yesterday, DeSantis made it clear he wished to ban spending on diversity and inclusion programs from university funds.

Florida, but more specifically FIU, seems to be doing something well with new statistics coming forward demonstrating the preeminence of Florida education.
