Mills Drafts Anti-Woke Publishing Bill to Protect Children from Being Sexualized

He hasn’t even been sworn into office a week and former combat veteran, Rep. Cory Mills (R) has already drafted legislation that would prevent education publishing houses from printing and disseminating “woke” propaganda, specifically sexually explicit and pornographic material to children.

During an exclusive interview with The Floridian in his Washington, D.C. legislative office, Rep. Mills said that on the campaign trail, he vowed to “start legislating” the moment he was sworn in, and gave us a sneak peek at the drafted measure

This bill prevents an actual publishing house from distributing any kind of sexual, any pornography, or any kind of inappropriate material to a primary or secondary school,” said Rep. Mills.

The untitled bill is currently going through the initial drafting and compliance phase and could be filed in the next week or so.

Mills’ bill states that the measure “will hold liable, under a felonious offense, the highest ranking member that has approved this publishing or editing of this material,” and would hit the publisher with a 500,000 fine.

In addition, the bill would block federal funds from being appropriated to “schools and educational agencies” that engage or “subscribe” to publishing the aforementioned “pornographic or inappropriate materials.”

Mills’s bill is the first bill of its kind and appears to stem from the controversial “Parental Rights in Education” bill Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law last year.

What I am doing is trying to reinforce at the federal level, to reinsure that perverse ideological belief, this wokeness, this indoctrination, and sexualization of our children is completely blocked and banned.

Interestingly enough, Mills credited Gov. DeSantis for taking on groups and individuals who seek to sexualize children and even quoted the Governor.

“Florida is where woke goes to die,” said Mills as he credited DeSantis.
