House Republican Cory Mills Passes out Grenades to House Members

Share

When House Republicans took control of the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this month and vowed to thoroughly investigate the Biden administration, Democratic political heads began to blow up around the nation. Now, newly sworn-in Rep. Cory Mills has decided to take the exploding Democratic head gasket undertaking to a whole other level.

Rep. Mills, who is a former combat veteran and military munitions contractor, is distributing Republican-stamped Florida-made 40mm grenades to his fellow Republican lawmakers.

The grenade, which is made for the MK 19 grenade launcher the U.S. Military has in its arsenal, was made at his former munitions plant in the “Free State of Florida.”

Mills sent out the grenade with a letter addressed to each Republican House member, where he welcomes them to the “mission-oriented 118th Congress.”

“I am eager to get to work for the American people, and I look forward to working with you to deliver on this commitment. I am honored to be part of the Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committee,” stated Mills. “In that spirit, it is my pleasure to give you a 400mm grenade, made for a MK 19 grenade launcher. These are manufactured in the Sunshine State and first developed in the Vietnam War.”

Mills tells The Floridian that the grenades he is distributing are completely “inert” and “were cleared by Capitol Police and EOD.”

Frag Out! Frag Out!

Republicans have already begun their efforts of tearing down, or now, blowing up the legislative legacy that House Democrats and the Biden administration have championed over the past two years.

Expect House Democrats to take issue with the Mills’ little gift.

Cory Mills

House Democrats, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Cori Bush have already taken issue with Mills in the past for his manufacturing of less-lethal tear gas his former company manufactures.

In 2021, Rep. Bush and Ocasio-Cortez, who sit on the House Oversight Committee, sent Mills a letter demanding that he address their concerns over his then-company’s manufacturing of tear gas that they say was used against peaceful protestors.

“These products have routinely been deployed on non-violent protestors exercising their First Amendment rights,” state Reps. Ocasio-Cortez and Bush.  “People should not have to worry that if they attend a non-violent protest, are in the vicinity of law enforcement action, or are medical workers assisting injured individuals, they may be exposed to poison with unknown effects.”
