Gimenez Says Mayorkas Following Biden's Deadly Border Orders

Share

With Title 42 in limbo, Republicans are still questioning President Joe Biden (D) and his administration’s effort to secure the border. Moreover, Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) thinks that perhaps, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is just following the orders of the administration and is purposely allowing the border to remain unsecure.

In a TV interview on Fox News, Rep. Gimenez believes that Secretary Mayorkas should be impeached, but he also believes that “the buck stops with President Biden.”

“But again, at the end, the buck stops with President Biden. I’m sure that Secretary Mayorkas is doing exactly what the Biden administration wants him to do. His job is to keep America safe. He has not done so, first, by the flow of illegal immigrants into the country. But second, a lot of people forget about this: the fentanyl that’s going in through the southern border that’s killing tens of thousands of Americans every single year,” stated Gimenez.

Gimenez believes that this is greatest problem concerning the border. The influx of fentanyl through drug trafficking is a problem that has killed  tens of thousands of people and affected millions in the nation.

“80 to 100k Americans are dying from this flow of fentanyl that is supplied by a multinational organization across the border, and we’re doing absolutely nothing about it. That to me is even more critical because you see the impact of daily lives of Americans and taking the lives of Americans in the prime of their lifetime. There’s the 18- to 34-year-olds are dying, over 2000 of them are dying every single day from that fentanyl overdose and the Biden administration does absolutely nothing about it. It’s inexcusable,” said Rep. Gimenez.

With the 5-4 decision from the Supreme Court to delay the end of Title 42, pro-border activists and lawmakers believe that by ending the Trump-era immigration policy, a huge influx of migrants could be at America’s doorstep.
