DeSantis to Petition for Investigation into Sudden COVID-19 Deaths

Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has led Florida conservatives in the fight against vaccine mandates.  Today, DeSantis has officially petitioned the Florida Supreme Court for a statewide grand jury on COVID-19 vaccine safety.

The governor was present in West Palm Beach for a roundtable discussion joined by Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo and world-renowned physicians, researchers, and public health experts to discuss adverse events of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and announce new, aggressive actions to hold the federal government and "Big Pharma" accountable.

The goals laid out today by the administration will lead to the creation of the Public Health Integrity Committee.  The committee will be created with the intention of assessing public health recommendations and guidance to ensure that Florida’s public health policies are tailored to Florida’s communities and priorities.

Additionally, the petition for a grand jury will be filed to investigate crimes and wrongdoing committed against Floridians related to the COVID-19 vaccine.  The governor also intends to further research sudden deaths of young and healthy individuals which the governor asserts could have a correlation with taking the COVID-19 vaccine.

As for the committee, Surgeon General Ladapo will oversee all affairs.  The committee will be comprised of expert researchers charged with assessing federal decisions, recommendations, and guidance related to public health and health care. The Surgeon General would then receive input from the committee to ensure public health policies are tailored for Florida’s communities and aligned with state priorities.

The state of Florida will reportedly work with the University of Florida and medical examiners to discover “the incidence of myocarditis, within a few weeks of COVID vaccination, for people who died” shortly after receiving the shot.

While the governor may be sincere in his attempt to get to the bottom of seemingly dead end cases of unexpected deaths, however his political adversaries around Florida will be quick to denounce the action as an attempt to push more anti-vaccine conspiracy theories.
