It has been reported that our state has one of the worst legal climates in the country and, unfortunately, it is hurting the future of Florida families and businesses by driving up costs for consumers.
Our elected representatives need to put into effect some meaningful lawsuit reform measures during this upcoming
Special Session that will protect consumers and address the rampant lawsuit abuse that has made our state earn the moniker of being a judicial hellhole.
In particular, Florida’s bad faith laws are being abused by trial attorneys who pursue frivolous claims and engage in questionable legal tactics.
This underscores the importance of passing much-needed reforms to Florida’s bad faith laws in order to bring relief to consumers, especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
It is incredibly important that the legislature take a positive step forward in restoring fairness to our state’s legal system and help to lower the overall cost of living for all Floridians.
