Casey DeSantis Announces 1.1 Million Committed 'Mamas for DeSantis'

Share

In June, First Lady Casey DeSantis announced the Mamas for DeSantis initiative, which looks to mobilize mothers around the state to “join the movement” to reelect Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). At a recent event, the First Lady of Florida announced that over 1.1 million Mamas for DeSantis have been secured, eclipsing her original goal of 1 million.

“We did not sign up a million moms to support the Governor, we signed up 1.1 million across the state!” said First Lady DeSantis.

The DeSantis administration has prided itself on being the “most pro-parent, pro-student state,” due to decisions by the administration such as keeping schools open, enacting laws like the Parental Rights in Education Bill, and increasing funding for K-12 schools.

Gov. DeSantis released a statement regarding their positive news as well:

“The First Lady has worked hard and mobilized 1.1 million moms to help Keep Florida Free on November 8th. Florida is the best place in the nation to raise a family. We stand up for children by keeping schools open, protecting our communities, preventing woke indoctrination of our kids, and protecting parents’ rights. We are providing record tax relief for families – from diapers and household items to pet food. As Governor, we will continue to deliver for Florida families,” said Ron DeSantis.

With over 1 million moms committed to voting for the Governor’s reelection, that means that roughly one in fourteen registered voters will be mothers voting red in the gubernatorial election in Florida this year. It is an impressive feat.

“I am proud to announce that we have secured more than one million mamas across the state of Florida who are voting to re-elect Governor Ron DeSantis, the most pro-parent Governor in the country. As a father of three children, ages 5, 4, and 2, the Governor has had mamas’ backs for the past four years and now it’s time for us to have his back. We are 1.1 million mamas on a mission to re-elect Governor Ron DeSantis and deliver a huge victory for freedom on November 8th,” stated First Lady DeSantis in a press release.

According to FiveThirtyEight, Gov. DeSantis has nearly a 10-point advantage over Charlie Crist (D) in the polls less than a week before election day.
