Jury Recommends Life in Prison to Parkland School Shooter

Share

The verdict is in for the Parkland school murderer Nikolas Cruz, as a 12-person jury in Broward County has found that he should be sentenced to life in prison.

The announcement came down mid-morning Thursday this week.

Cruz gunned down 19 innocent teachers and students on Valentine’s Day 2018 at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School.

Cruz has pleaded guilty to murdering 14 students and 3 school officials.

Since the Parkland shooting, grassroots gun activists have politicized the event, and Democratic legislators at both the state and federal levels, have pushed for more stringent gun legislation because of the mass shooting in Parkland.

“There's not one thing that we have to do. It's a multitude of things.  Here in Florida, we raised the age of 21 after Parkland. We instituted three-day waiting periods, we banned bump stops. And we used to take the red flag laws that have been used 1000 times in the state of Florida,” said Jared Moskowitz, “I think what the House did was very balanced, but I think, unfortunately, what the Senate is going to do, if anything, is strip it out and not really solve the issue.”
