Byron Donalds' Solution to Border Crisis: 'VOTE REPUBLICAN'

Share

In what Fox News reporter Bill Melugin described as a “blatant Friday late night news dump,” the CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) released their numbers for the month of September, showcasing a record high in migrant encounters for both the month and the fiscal year. Following the data release, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) gave a plea to the nation including his solution to fix the problem.

The numbers are significant. 227,547 migrant encounters were reported for the month of September alone, and 2,378,944 encounters were recorded for the fiscal year.

Both of these statistics are the highest ever recorded, respectively.

Rep. Donalds sent out his response to the historic numbers.

“After weeks of hiding the Sept. border numbers from the American people, the DEMs finally released the numbers (in the middle of the night). The lack of transparency is unconscionable, especially concerning the ongoing invasion at our border. VOTE REPUBLICAN FOR A SECURE BORDER,” tweeted Donalds.

Some politicians still disagree, however. At the beginning of the month, Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) claimed that the U.S. “does not have open borders,” despite the data throughout this past fiscal year demonstrating otherwise.

Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) believes that border patrol agents have their hands tied behind their backs. Earlier this week, she stated that those looking to protect the border have become “glorified babysitters,” because that they’re not being used properly.

“The men and women protecting this nation are basically turned into glorified babysitters and processing papers. It’s just obnoxiously disrespectful…They have signed up to defend our nation’s borders and be that front line, and yet they are just processing people and catching and releasing per the policy of the Joe Biden administration,” said Rep. Cammack.

She even went as far as to all President Joe Biden (D) the “Trafficker-in-Chief,” rather than the Commander-in-Chief.
