DeSantis Says Biden Created Immigration Crisis

With Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) supporting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ (R) recent measures on immigration, the Florida Governor continues to direct blame to the president. Further escalating tension between President Joe Biden (D) and Governor DeSantis, the Florida Governor says that Democrats are not accurately responding to the pressing concerns. In a message to supporters, DeSantis claimed that “Biden created this crisis” and has done nothing to solve it.

Republican governors have sent busses and planes with illegal immigrants to blue states, and this measure has been met with scrutiny. DeSantis is the most recent GOP governor to direct illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, and it follows Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s (R) decision to direct immigrants to Vice President Kamala Harris’ (D) home.

Though DeSantis has received scrutiny from lawmakers, and though an investigation has been opened against him by Texas authorities, Senator Rubio has come to his defense.

DeSantis argues that it’s all a political show in response to the outcry.

“I haven’t heard a peep about the millions of people who are being told by Biden they can just walk freely into our country,” said DeSantis, adding that he hasn’t “heard a peep about these people being used and abused by the cartels.”

Moreover, “there’s been no outrage over immigrants drowning in the Rio Grande,” and there’s been “no outcry about the 50 immigrants found dead in the back of a truck in Texas.”

Accusing Biden and Democrats of supporting an “open border” policy, DeSantis argued that “Biden and the virtue signaling Left don’t care about the safety of migrants illegally entering our country, and they don’t care about the safety of Floridians and the communities across America being destroyed by the traffickers, smugglers, and dangerous drugs freely flowing into our country.”

DeSantis has called on voters to reject Democrats in November, saying that Biden is “willing to risk the security of our nation and the safety of our communities to gain brownie points with his extremist base.”
