Crist Asserts Bodily Autonomy for Abortion, Yet Also Supports Vaccine Passports

Share

Democratic candidate for Governor Charlie Crist continues to differentiate himself from Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on just about every issue. The former Conservative Republican has reinvented himself into a Progressive Democrat.

Tuesday morning, Rep. Crist posted a tweet saying that "it shouldn’t be controversial for women to have control over their own bodies," referring to his pledge to enforce an executive order in favor of abortion. In spite of his supposed support for "bodily autonomy.

" DeSantis War Room dug up an ABC interview from 2021 where Crist speaks in favor of COVID-19 vaccine passports.

"Charlie Crist: "We should have vaccine passports. I think that's important," the Twitter page replied.

The short sequence has the host describe DeSantis' bans on vaccine passports and prohibition of businesses from enforcing vaccine mandates. Crist simply answers with the above statement, "we should have vaccine passports. I think that's important."

Fox News host Lisa Boothe was quick to call Crist a "tyrant" who "knows the vaccines are BS." Additionally, she says that the whole purpose of the vaccine and its mandates is "controlling and spying on you."

Other replies on Twitter were just as vicious and insulting.

There has been no shortage of conservatives and Republicans calling out Crist's flip-flopping stances. Last July, The Floridian interviewed Crist on whether he was pro-abortion or pro-life, and Crist said he was "laissez-faire" on the issue, while also calling himself "pro-life."

This past August, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL-19) called Crist a "chameleon" after he had said President Biden was being "honest" in calling millions of Americans "semi-fascist." Even Nikki Fried (D), Crist's one-time rival for Democratic candidate for Governor, has called out Crist on his changing stance regarding gun control.

Nonetheless, it is important to remember that Crist is running against Ron "DeSatan." "He's bad, we're good."
