Scott: "Don't Work for Biden's IRS Army"

With the Inflation Reduction Act signed into law, the IRS will grow by an unwelcome 87,000 new agents. Should one consider the idea of becoming one of those number, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) says they should reconsider. In an open letter to job seekers posted on Scott's LinkedIn account, he advises potential IRS agents that the job is not worth it. Not only because of the initial job listing's requirement of the use of deadly force, but also because Republicans will quickly roll back the expansion come January.

Scott's letter begins with an admonishment to the reader for looking for work, given that "the big-government policies of the Biden administration have caused the labor participation rate in our country to drop to historic lows." He then states that the $80 billion expansion of the IRS and addition of 87,000 agents will make the agency larger than the Pentagon, FBI, Customs and Customs and Border Protection, and State Department combined.

The letter moves on to say that this new job "will not offer you the long-term job stability you may expect from a position with the federal government." This is because, as mentioned, upon retaking the House and Senate after midterms, Republicans will immediately defund "this insane and unwarranted expansion of government into the lives of the American people."

Additionally, Scott refers to the infamous job listing that stated new IRS agents must be willing to use deadly force. He emphasizes this is not the same thing as being a police officer or member of the military. "This is the federal agency charged with collecting taxes." Furthermore, Scott appeals to the reader's conscience, saying that not only will prospective agents audit and investigate family and friends, but also be willing to kill them.

Scott's letter concludes saying that Democrat defunding of police while simultaneously turning the IRS into a "super-police force" will not stand with the American people. Finally, he reaffirms the reader's willingness to look for work, and wishes them the best in finding "a great job that serves a purpose beyond being a henchman of President Biden and Congressional Democrats."
